Wish me luck... first ever maintenance wash.

Well, I've read about them on here and wondered. Moved house, plugged in machine and thought this is it, the time to try. It's on at 95 degrees, no spin, soda crystals in the drawer.

I watched it for the first ten minutes. DH thinks I am mad plausible, just waiting now.

Is it meant to smell?

I think it went well, there weren't too many bubbles so hopefully wasn't too bad. The smell also went. Yay!

I recall when I told someone that I was cleaning the washing machine, they looked at me as if I'd suddenly grown horns.

'But machines do the washing for you and not the other way round. Next thing you'll be telling me is that you clean the hoover!'

(I steered the conversation off the topic - decided that gradual acclimatisation was the way to go. )

Oh is there a way to clean the Hoover that I don't know about...? I may be catching the bug.

The wash today, smelt better. Slightly. Hmmm.
