A friend of a friend wants her house cleaning as a a one off. She has contacted professional companies but I'm thinking I can offer to do it for a reduced price but a nice bit of cash for me. I've worked for some of the professional companies in the past. What do you think I could charge??

It very much depends on the size and area. And honestly how thoroughly would you clean it? Have you worked as a cleaner before? How would you feel if she asked you to redo bits or pointed out what you'd missed? Because that's what you're paying for when you get a professional clean.

Price could be £8 per hour

I would say £10 per hour

I'd my two public/three bedroom with the usual kitchen and bathroom, plus carpets shampooed throughout for £200 when I had it done before moving. It was in show home condition and well worth every penny.

Thanks all.. that's roughly what I was thinking
