DD has sneaked in crayons into the dryer. My laundry is now covered in baked-in, brightly coloured stains

Shopping trip sorry not helpful would a warm iron on top of grease proof paper work? It maybe worth a try if it is all ruined anyway.

I have finally managed to clean the washer dryer so I can start doing laundry again. I have tried washing up liquid on the stains and also dirt devil and Marseille soap. There is some improvement but really the stains are still there.

Any tips? Please before I start crying over my new summer clothes I had only worn once?

We had this recently - brown paper or newspaper both sides of melted crayon, hot iron until its soaked into paper. Then hot wash, as hot as fabric will stand with powder and soda crystals.

Worked for me on purple crayon through washer AND dryer. Chipped blobs of crayon off dryer then ran it hot with old towel to catch the rest.

Google it, I found lots of advice online. Good luck!

Not newspaper but kitchen roll both sides and iron as much off as you can. You want a paper that absorbs wax and won't leave any more marks. Then hot wash as above

I have ironed, I have tried brown paper and kitchen roll but I couldn't get much colour into the paper at all. It seems to be dyed into the fabric rather than sitting on top iyswim.

Will try washing now but it doesn't look much different so far :(

The ironing only gets the actual wax off, then the hot wash tackles the stain.

The wash didn't make much difference unfortunately. I had another good go with some Marseille soap and then washed again.

Shirts and other woven items have come out mostly ok, but jersey items are beyond help it seems :(
