Lg washing vibrating on spin in new house

I have moved house this week and my Lg washing machine doesn't cope well on the wooden flooring/ vibrating when on spin. I bought them rubber cups for the feet which has stopped it walking but still vibrating quite bad. Anyone have any idea how I can stop this please?

Is the floor underneath completely solid and level?

I'm going to echo what the others have said, OP, is it on a suspended floor by any chance?
DM's Miele machine is on a suspended floor and it sends some pretty vicious vibrations though the kitchen floor when its spinning, it was the same with her last machine too sadly

Can you put it on a mat to help stop it moving and dampen the noise it is making?

Yes it is a suspended floor, looks like I'm going to have to deal with it ???? but I shall look into some kind of mat, thanks for your reply's.

When I moved to this house, I had to buy a new washing machine when the previous one died. It was a Bosch and they installed it on a solid and apparently level concrete floor in the basement.

On the first trial run, I thought it would head out of the back door before it finished.

It took some fiddling with the little screw 'legs' on the machine - particularly the front two - to make it happy and now it's perfectly OK and has been for a few years. Some machines are much more sensitive to what they think is a level surface (or not) rather than what you think is level. I'd try a little experimentation on the blighter: can you move it at all if you grab the frame and give it a heavy shake? If you can, it's not 'feeling' level even though you might think it is so use the adjustment screws to give it a little boost. I'd recommend trying to raise the front two a few turns until the thing seems immovable.

Thanks Cozie. I took your advice and it is alot better than it was, thanks.Now it seems to be putting the odd hole in my clothes and not rinsing too well ????

Oh, I hate it when you get one thing sorted and another issue crops up, have a and a slice of you don't think one of the perforations in the drum has become disfigured and thats whats snagging the clothes iyswim?

Thanks OP, it's enough stress with moving, let alone this! I think where it is still shaking slightly on spin it is forcing the clothes against the holes in the drum when spinning. I checked the drum for anything loose or sharp but couldn't find anything. I made sure the taps was turned up on the back of the washing machine and cleaned it out tonight, hoping it improves with the rinsing but in doubt. Wish me luck

I know DS2 notices if my Miele needs cleaning because he says he finds white flecks on his jeans and dark coloured clothes

Thanks. My boys will be moaning if their clothes are ruined ohh.. you have a Miele, I've always wanted one but never been sure if they are worth the price?

Napkin its good don't get me wrong, it just seems to take ages to wash and the drawer has gone kind of crusty, like solid powder buildup in the powder compartments iyswim
DS2 is an appliance enthusiast and has a few machines himself, he says that he finds his LG (he has a base model) is just as good as the Miele and I haven't noticed any difference in his washing in cleanliness to what I get from the Miele machine when he asks me to help him fold a few things

Ok so no better then, I'll stick with my Lg then. Where does he keep all his machines? He sounds a bit like me, always looking for the best

He keeps them in the garage, I don't mind because he's not hurting anyone or going out and causing trouble.

Thanks for asking Missing. It is still no better, the poor rinsing is making my DS2's skin flare up and I have ordered a anti - vibration mat to see if it helps. May need to get a machine with a extra rinse option, not that I want to have to! Wish I could store my machine in the garage, would help the vibration issue!

DS2 was telling me about it (not sure how it works)

Yes I have tried the medic rinse but I try not to use it all the time as it is a hot rinse it seems to add wear to to some fabrics. Good for whites though It is a bloody nuisance to be honest but hopefully I will sort something somehow soon.

Im not sure, I think it may be the flooring in my new home more than anything, causing the vibration and more movement in the drum to snag the clothes (hope the mat will help with that) but can figure out why it isn't rinsing as well. If I was to get a new machine in the long run, what does your Son rate the best out of all he has tried?

You could try buying a nice thick piece of plywood & standing the machine on that (along with the rubber cups on the feet)

My washer is in the bathroom (upstairs) on a very slopy floor & it was much easier to adjust the feet so it stopped moving once I got a ply platform under it

Napkin Other than LG he rates Beko's Excellence range and Bosch machines highly, he has a Hoover machine which is smashing but he's not had it long enough to vouch for reliability.

Forgot to say, DH put a piece of ply under DM's machine when she noticed the vibrations from it when it would spin, its taken the edge off it a bit

I didn't, napkin, but it was inside a cupboard so kind of wedged. Screwing/sticking the ply down would probably help & you could fix battens around the edges to stop the washer walking off the edge.

Apart from the levelling effect, the ply also spreads the load over a nice wide area instead of it being concentrated where the 4 feet sit
