Help - any DIY / Handy Andy types out there?

Ok, have blocked sink since yesterday. Tried boiling water, then Mr Muscle sink and drain unblocker, but still there.

Trouble is, I now have sink full of Mr Muscle gunk which is "highly caustic" / burn your hands off / don't for heavens sake go anywhere near this.

Anyone any bright suggestions, or is it phone the plumber time?

Wearing gloves and armed with a bucket under neath, just unscrew the U-bend take it off, see if you can reach the blockage, if you can, problem solved, if not, you are probably looking at a plumber job really.

Thanks NJ. I decided I would wait until dh is available on Friday. Not because I'm too frilly to be able to deal with it, but because I want someone available to phone the ambulance if I get caustic soda in my eyes
