Help!! Plaster dust on cream carpet :-(

DIY disaster....Lots of dark grey plaster dust on a cream carpet!! Any ideas? Have vacuumed the worst off, but there are still big grey patches that won't come out. Should I try a vax? Any ideas welcome.

have you got a 'super powerful' hoover... or just an ordinary one?

does any friend have a brand new dyson that you could borrow?

wouldnt anything wet make it go all 'plastery' instead of dusty?

not sure i'd want to get it wet really. keep going over with hoover i think.

Yes - I did wonder if wetting it might do more harm than good... Our vacuum cleaner is a Miele, which is pretty powerful. I don't think dry vacuuming is going to make much more progress, so might give wet vaxing a go, on the basis that there's really nothing to lose. Can't make it much worse than it is.... boo hoo!! Thanks anyway!
