Yes, if I have the oven on, I would use the second shelf to cook something else.

Did it turn out ok? I've often wondered this!

Hikari01 · 05/06/2015 19:33

I've had two things in the oven at the same time several times, never was an issue.

Meepandyoup · 06/06/2015 15:40

It's never been a problem for me either.

I cooked a pizza and a fruit crumble at the same time the other day, I was dubious at first as well. But turned out fine.

My wise old mother taught me that for efficiency you should always try to fill your oven. Roast and pudding in at the same time - why waste all that lovely heat. Never had a cross contamination taste thing ever.

Thanks all ! I've been wanting to get around to asking about this for years !!!
