I've tried hot soapy water and put them in the dishwasher and also dettol spray, but they still look and smell greasy Blush

What can I do?

Stardrops from Wilko? It's cheap and great for a variety of jobs with different levels of dilution. i'd spray on a 50/50 solution and leave for an hour, then into the dishwasher.

No dishwasher here, so I soaked ours in the bath in a solution of hot water and soda crystals (found in laundry product aisle). It was horridly fascinating watching the globs of fat rising to the surface of the water. I rinsed them off with the shower and then soaked again in clean solution.
