Slippy teak table top! A cover? Ah, for some friction!

We have a nice, functional teak kitchen table.

The only thing is that it has a very slippery surface, so doing things like homework.

Can anyone recommend any covers, solutions please?

Thick, clear PVC plastic sheeting (sold as tablecloth) can help - I cut it to the shape of the oval table so it didn't have overhang at sides. Couldn't see it from distance and we put a tablecloth over it for meals etc.
