Help!! Pushchairs have gone mouldy - how do I get them clean?

Stupidly, we put our double and spare single pushchairs in the garage while they weren't being used. I've just been out there and they are both covered in mould. It's all over the seat units and the straps, neither of which are removeable.

What can I do to get it off or are they wrecked forever now?

umm... I know one part vinegar or lemon juice to one part baking soda, apply and leave for 1-2 hours and rinse off... but, that might not be fabric etc., just tiles ...

are yu sure the covers cant be removed?

Olihan · 09/11/2006 14:51

Misdee - yep, I have had a good go and it involves undoing bolts/screws on the single and rivets on the double. I could probably get them apart but putting them back together would be a whole new issue!!

Quootiepie, not sure if it would wreck the fabric either, but they're pretty unusable as they are anyway.

TBH, I wanted a new double anyway - if I can show dh that I've made a good effort to sort them and it hasn't worked I may be able to wangle my new one .

for the single, i would unscrew it and put the covers in the washing machine.

but get a new double.
