When I say need I really mean NEED.

But I hate using oven pride type cleaning things. Smell makes me feel sick!

Does anyone have a fool proof method?

Was wondering if I could use my steam cleaner thingy?

Or would anyone like to clean it for me? Grin

Hmm, I heard Lakeland stuff recommended on here.

Lots of people seem to be getting someone in to clean the oven professionally, it might be worth checking the classified ads to see what they charge. Otherwise yes you can use the steam cleaner but it will take ages and be messy as it fires bits of burnt on stuff all over ime. I'm still in the chemical attack of oven pride camp personally. (Actually I'm in the can't remember when I last cleaned it camp if in honest!)

We had a guy over to do it. Best £40 I've spent. Looked like new afterwards. That was a few years ago and it just needs a wipe to look presentable. Just google oven cleaners in your area.

Ummmm I've just cleaned out cupboard under sink and found FIVE bottles of oven cleaner....... whoops. Think I need to suck it up and use one of them Shock

sprinkle the inside of the oven with baking soda, spray it well all with white vinegar. Close the door and leave it over night. Top up the vinegar after about half an hour and then just leave it. Wipe it all out the next morning. Done.

I tried a damp dishwasher tablet on the door of the oven. It still took some scrubbing but did clean it beautifully (& oven pride worked well on the inside).
