we currently don't have one - gave it away in wales, anyhow, we have me dh and J. is it really worth buying another one (well actually swopping out dishwasher which we can't use - don't ahve plumbing for) and getting one or should I just stick to the laundrette one which costs me £2 min per time, althou £4 would do about 10 days worth of washing. (if I wash all in one go iycwim) ooh that makes me sound bad! lol.

other than that it's around the house on radiators (roughly one load to a radiator) so what would be best?

Getting a tumble dryer is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

With 3DD's aged 4 and under I really got fed up hanging out all the small clothes on the line. During the winter months I used to hate all the washing around the house drying on the radiators and every time a vistor comes trying to whip the clothes off - but now - it tends to be just Dh and my clothes on radiators and DD's are washed, dried and back in drawers/wardrobes before DH comes home from work! A nice clean house!

My 3DD's love dirt and can go through 2 sets of clothes each a day so I always have a load to put on!

only problem is though I found out with DS2 that the majority of DS1's clothes had shrunk in our tumble dryer even at the 'correct' temperature.

I'm thinking more from the money side - is it that much more expensive to have/run youre own as opposed to the laundrette? we tended to over use our last one a bit.
