How do I get candle wax off a fabric chair?

Do I put paper over it then iron the paper? Will that lift it off or is that rubbish?

you need absorbant paper like kitchen roll.

scrape off as much as you can then iron brown paper over it

I read blotting paper once. No idea. Can you practice with candle wax on a dishcloth first?
