How safe are heated airers? Left on accidently whilst away.

Unfortunately rushing to get the train from London to Manchester, I forgot to switch off the heated airer (fine element brand). It has clothes on it. Do I return home tomorrow or are these airers safe to stay on til Monday? I would be grateful for any advice. Feeling very worried and stressed:(

Mine is on most of the time - I am constantly doing laundry. I am sure it will be fine.

Left mine on for days loads of times, am alway forgetting to switch it off!

Another one who often leaves it on constantly! No problems - slightly crispy clothes aside. I wouldn't worry, I'm sure it will be fine until Monday. I've definitely left mine on for that length of time before.

Thank you for your posts. Feeling much better having read your comments. Glad to know I am not the only one! Will return tomorrow though rather than Monday just for piece of mind.

If it does over heat I think the fuse will just blow.

Mine's been on since Thursday. Still on Smile

Mine doubles as a heater for the garden studio. So it's on in cold weather, at the bottom of the garden, for long spells.

Don't worry!

Thank you to everyone for taking time out to reply and to give me the reassurance that it should be okay. Phew, I am now home and thankfully all is well. My DS's judo kit is super dry! Thank you:)
