How do I clean up melted plastic?

Teenagers and combi-ovens!

Ds put a microwave steamer in the convection oven. It melted. When it was cold, the whole melted mess prised off in one go, but it has left a ring of plastic on the glass turntable. I've scraped off as much as will come off, how do I clean the rest off?

Blast it with a hair dryer to melt it a bit and then scrape it off?

Razor scraper?

Is the glass turntable removable? If so, take it to the open air or a well-aired place and try some acetone (acetone-based nail polish remover is usually the thing) on some kitchen roll to remove it/soften it for further scraping. (Remember to use appropriate protective gloves yourself.) That, together with a hot soapy wash wash afterwards should hopefully work.

Thanks for your suggestions. I've scraped as much as possible. I'll try the acetone next.
