List for cleaner

Hello, does anyone have a list of jobs they leave for their cleaner?

It feels a bit 'bossy' to me, but I've had a previous cleaner who thought that my vague instructions of "please clean the kitchen, lounge & dining room" didn't include what I would think of as 'basics' like wiping the hob and cleaning the kitchen sink. Got a new cleaner starting next week and I want to be clear from the start what I expect!

It's a fairly big house and she only has two hours, so I want her to concentrate on doing downstairs really well, and then do one bedroom a week of time allows.

Just leave a note, politely worded. Not bossy - you're paying her!

Well I think the list of what's included within the price should have been already established at this point, a service list should have been worked out when she priced up the cleaning but if not then you could ask for some additional services and ask if there is an extra charge for these and see what she includes within the scope of her service and what she will charge out as extras.

Better late than never but I wish people would set out all this at the beginning when they are selling their cleaning service.

Having started with a very detailed list, which encouraged people to leave off anything i hadn't mentioned, this time my instructions were simply to leave the house 'as if my mother were coming'.

Its worked well for the last fifteen years.

Smug face.

I know how lucky we are.
