How to clean bath toys?

Just looked at DS's bath toys and they are looking rather disgusting with a nice black rim of mould where they have been put away wet. Anyone have any ways to clean them without resorting to bleach type products? DS puts them in his mouth so really would prefer natural products.

I'd scrub with shampoo and a nailbrush and then put them in the dishwasher

white vinegar is good to remove black bits - soak in a solution then scrub bits off with toothbrush.

But sometimes you have to admit defeat and just buy some new ones!

We used to have to soak toys in a milton (sterilising) solution
