i am a complete luddite and need help , can i just go into a shop and garage and ask for say £20 on my phone without a card thingy ? someone in the queque in front of me did this and got a recepit with a code on it .? dont want to ask husband as will be ridiculed and plus will have to explain credit card maxed !
