Can you mend ceramic and glass?

If it was any other Christmas bauble I would have thrown it... but it's from my son's 1st Christmas. It has his hand print on with "[my son]'s 1st Christmas" on it. Fortunately the hand print part is whole!

I was just wondering if there's some sort of glue for ceramic or glaze..?

And I have a big wine glass that the stem has broken off of. Is there such thing as glass glue..?

A lot of things break in my house! None by myself. >.

I've used superglue to make a similar repair to a wine glass in the past.

Usually the glass baubles are made of is so thin and delicate I don't think a repair would be possible. Could you glue the handprint onto another bauble (plastic as more durable) or put it in a tiny frame as a keepsake instead?

UHU make a special 2 part glue for ceramic & glass. You could email or call them for advice before buying it to see if they think it would work - I seem to remember that it involves holding the glued surfaces together.

Thank you for your replies.

wowfudge Oh I'll just see if super glue works then, it's only on display. The first and only time it got used, it got broke, ha. Yeah I was thinking of maybe doing a mosaic thing with the pieces into a mould of some sort.

Gozogozo I'll have a look at that, thank you.
