I would like to hear other people's tips and tricks on keeping their large family organised please!!!
I'm a mum of 6 and having one of those 'ugh, I can't do this' days.. So would any of you ladies kindly share your tips on how you keep your home and kids in order...
Laundry, outings, bedtimes, bathtimes, cleaning, keeping them entertained etc...
Could really do with some inspiration today xx

There were 6 of us and my mum had different tubs for different laundry - i.e. whites, school shirts, colours, etc. Guess it just saved 10 minutes a day for her, but a lot of 10 minutes saved is what you need!

10 minutes saved is like a lifetime in this house :)
Thank you x

I remember a website years ago called Large Family Logistics. Thousands of kids and they homeschooled as well. Many systems in place that they kindly shared, but I was childless at the time, so didn't seem too relevant to me.

I know when mine were small (I had twins and never wanted to be pregnant again after that) we had quite a rigid routine all planned out for every week - with flexibility obviously for illness or things just going plain wrong. We all liked the routine.

Now, we have very little routine, and they are now home educated so less of a need for one really.

We all had our tasks to do, which I do a lot less of with only 2, but with 6 it is very necessary - the older ones should agree with you a rota. Everything should be labeled too - saves a lot of time looking for stuff that has been put in the wrong place.

Ooh, the Large Family Logistics still exists - largefamilylogistics.blogspot.co.uk/ Looks like an interesting read for a bystander Grin
