cleaning 1st floor sash windows from inside??

hi all

I have no ladder and am wondering if anyone has a special way they can clean their sash windows (they are single glazed and bottom one goes up / top one down a bit) from the inside (they are on the first floor).

I can kind of angle a bendy mop out to reach parts but it takes ages and is time consuming and I never reach all parts successfully. If there is another implement / method anyone can recommend I would be grateful.

I do have a window cleaner I use occasionally but am looking to save on cleaning costs if poss.

oh I should have said - it's probably obvious, but I meant reaching the outside as I can do the inside no problem.

I used to sit on the sill facing the outside window, pull it down onto my legs and get as much as possible!
