Giving duvet to charity shop.

I have an extra double duvet that I was going to take to the charity shop. Unfortunately it's too big to fit in my washing machine. Do they wash donations before selling them? There's no laundrette anywhere near me. It's been used so could do with a freshen up, but whilst I always wash clothes etc before handing them in, this is awkward to get cleaned. Any ideas?

give it to a homeless shelter.

If it looks and smells okay you could give it the charity shop. If I bought something like that I would take it to the launderette before I used it.

Failing that, our local cat rescue place takes duvets. Finally, give it away on Freecycle but state that it needs a wash.

Agree with animal rescue centre. I always donate old towels and bedding to our local RSPCA rehoming centre
