Help: Roller Blind problem

The plastic chain has come off the groove thingy.
I have the little plastic 'join the chain together' thingy.
I can't get the chain into the grooves.
Any tips please.
Why didn't this happen in the depths of winter when it's dark in the morning.... now dc will wake at the crack of dawn with the light pouring in.

Don't quite follow but have you looked up replacements I didn't know you could buy bits til my venetians needed just one part.

Look on YouTube! Seriously- I had a problem with my roller blind last year and after watching a video on YouTube I fixed it!!!

Can you roll the blind up/pull it down manually?

My DCs have roller blinds in their rooms and I removed the chains as I'm paranoid about strangulation and I just roll the blind up in the mornings by rolling the top of it and then pull it down from the bottom edge of the blind at night.
