why is it always green and black ? ds3 has just done this all over the house too. Think we are going to have to repaint the white hall. He has also carefully coloured in the patterns on the wallpaper in the playroom.

BudaBeast · 03/11/2006 12:42

Johnsons Baby Wipes????

My sister swears by them for everything!

Twiglett · 03/11/2006 12:43

like this .. would try on walls and wood

would assume that metal it will come off with nail varnish remover or similar

LadyTophamHatt · 03/11/2006 13:01

also a handy hint is to keep permanant markers at the top of the cupboard...even I have to stand on a little stall to reach ours

FoghornLeghorn · 03/11/2006 13:10

Oooops - all felt tips are now stashed on top of our fridge freezer in a pot so DD can't get to them for this reason.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 03/11/2006 17:37

Thanks peeps.

Permanent markers were tucked away in a storage box where we thought DD couldnt reach them. Unfortunately she is a very good climber and knows how to stack things to use as steps. Once she can get herself on to the kitchen worktop she can pretty much get anywhere, it seems..

Wet wipes worked a bit on the TV. No hope for the wall or the pine coffee table......might try those things linked to. Thanks again.

what about perfume, i used my paul smith fragrance to remove ink from my cream leather sofas

minder34 · 03/11/2006 19:40

back in my old days as a training officer I used to continuously be getting trainees using permanent markers on the white board. If I traced over the writing with a non-permanent pen it would re-moisten the permanent marker and allow it to be wiped off (got to work quickly tho!) This may just work for your TV, DVD, although I doubt there's anything to salvage the walls.....best of british anyway...

fizzbuzz · 03/11/2006 20:42

Nail varnish remover is pretty good at getting rid of most things, and I think hairspay will get pen off. Big tip, millions of years ago used to be a graphic designer, and used lighter fuel for cleaning rulers etc which had been covered in spirit marker
