HOW DO I GET VOMIT OUT OF MY CARPET? LOS OF IT? VERY SMELLY?

scrape it up as much as possible..then warm water & bit of washing up liquid, then water & bicarb of soda to get smell out......try to pat it rather than scrub!

i dunnop about the real way to do iut, i soak up sick in a towel (that way i don't have to touch any chunks - BARF) chuck the towel straight in wash then febreze the floor to neutralise the smell while i disinfect.
frined of mine has a bissel which would do the job quicker. bicarb gets the smell out too but not sure if carpet has to be dry for that

Wipe as much as you can up with kitchen towel or similar. Get a big bowl of hot soapy water and an old dishcloth (or other similar that you don't mind chucking) and scrub with lots of elbow grease.......then spray with discinfectant of some type.

lulu - you're not my mum are you?? DS1 (not 2 as I ust put) vomitted on the carpet the other week and I did what most women wouldn't dare to do.......called my mum to ask how to deal with it - that was her exact response

OK HAVE SCRAPED IT UP WITH BABYWIPES AND HAve cleaned with carpet cleaner fluid and have gone over with clean water. and have chucked a load of bi carb over it.

Zoflora, so I'm told. Never used it myself.

Never tried bicarb either but lots of people say it absorbs smells.

will leave this to dry and see how it goes. mum has got a bissell so will borrow that and go over it. luckily it's a rug so i can move it if it's smelly.

It's so awful, when people vomit all I can do is LAUGH hysterically. Anyone else with this problem?

Once someone's boy vomited all over my bathroom. I had to ask his Mum to clean it up, couldn't face another child's puke. And all the while I was collapsing in fits in another room.......I had a dressing gown sleeve stuffed up my mouth to stop the noise! Why oh why?

Good luck with getting rid of it - and put rug outside if you can.
