Help!! Just spilt mayonnaise on trousers!!

Any advice how to get it out of cotton trousers? - I quickly wiped off the mayo with a clean dishcloth using cold water, should I do anything else before it dries?

I would rub a bit of washing up liquid in (even if it has now dried) and wash as normal.

Got the stain off with hot water and washing up liquid. Worked a treat. Also, before washing with the washing up liquid, I wiped it over with a johnsons make up remover, not sure if this helped or not!
