Stupid questions about laundry powder.......

Have recently changed (back) to powder in order to try to get whites white.
How do you measure the amount needed without a scoop?

All I have is a plastic ball that came with the liquid and it goes up to 100mls.
The powder says use 95mgs for hard water so assuming mmgs=mls is that nearly a full ball- and if not how to measure?

Also- do you put powder in the dispenser drawer or can it go in the ball in the drum?

You can get a free scoop from persil/ariel if you go to their websites online

dementedpixie · 09/04/2015 09:47

I put it in the drawer. Some people put it straight in the drum

dementedpixie · 09/04/2015 09:52

I just guess it. I use an old teacup as my scoop and use between 1/3 to 2/3 of it depending on size and dirtiness of the load.

icelollycraving · 09/04/2015 21:36

I use a coffee cup.

SurlyCue · 09/04/2015 21:39

Do you have any measuring spoons in your kitchen? Quite honestly i just guess Grin

TheCowThatLaughs · 09/04/2015 21:49

I just put a bit in. I don't bother measuring it. I know I use less than recommended though, and it all comes out clean and fresh

NannyR · 09/04/2015 22:13

I just use a plastic cup, I weighed out the amount of powder and drew a line on the cup with a sharpie pen.

ChishandFips33 · 09/04/2015 22:19

I use an old antique table spoon Hmm

You can order a proper plastic scoop for free from p&g. It has measurements down the side c

The Persil one is cardboard and kind of rubbish.
