I had my pride-and-joy leather biker jacket 'professionally' (and expensively!) cleaned recently - it went in as a butter-soft glory and came out shiny in a bad way, slightly hardened and with a texture something like a mixture between paper and a plastic bag. I've had no joy from the 'recently under new management' cleaning firm, so I wondered if anyone else has encountered anything similar and knows if there's anything I can do to attempt to restore it, or if I just need to give it up as a bad job and throw it away?
