Have I killed my induction hob?! Flashing F and 0 since pot boiled over...

Just wondered if anyone can help...as i say, my pot of pasta boiled over and water went all over the hob. I mopped it up quite quickly, but it started flashing F and 0. Then I googled the problem, and the only thing I found was to switch it off at mains. Did this, and still didn't work. Left it off all night but still broken. Tried it with a pot on too, and no difference. Before I go and spend a fortune getting it fixed, i thought I would check if anyone has any ideas! Just moved into my house a few weeks ago, so it is new to me, but at least four years old I think. Thanks

Download a PDF of the manual and look at the fault code. If you can't find it email the company who made it and ask them.

I wonder if it has a reset procedure you need to follow.

Thanks Fluffy. Yes I have the manual and it says to switch off and restart. Did that and still the same..

I would say it needs to get dry.
Give it a day or 2 ant it is most likely to start.
I think I experienced soemthing similar in the past and was worried I needed to replace it.

Thanks crimsonh, fingers crossed!

How did you get on? This sounds v odd. I boil pans over more or less daily and never had an issue

Thanks so much for your advice, I waited for a few days and now it works fine again! :D

Btw, it really boiled over lots, went all over the hob, so am guessing it went under the knobs or something.

2 rings on my induction hob show F randomly even when not being used, switching power off and on again clears problem for a while, is it on its way out?

Wish mine would break.
