Anyone want to join me in a Housework Motivation Thread? Share your lists and plough through then?

Tonight we've got friends over for tea. DH is doing the food, I'm doing the house!

My list is:

• hoover everywhere
• shift ironing pile under stairs
• polish and dust lounge
• clean DS Loo, (loo, sink, and mop floor)
• clean bathroom (loo, sink, bath, mop floor)
• empty bins
• light yankee candles

Just having a cuppa before making a start

Yes, got all my list done yesterday We had a lovely evening last night with friends. DH cooked a lovely lasagne

I've got a laundry day here today aswell so i'll have a pile of ironing to do myself this evening. We got my Mum over in a bit to bring some Easter Eggs for the children. We've just had breakfast and the children have got the first of their eggs. They've got 8 each already for crying out loud, gonna last them ages. I've only got 3 and one of those was opened on Friday and is nearly gone. I want to go out for a walk or to the park later aswell as its supposed to be a nice day so will only keep light on the housework today.

My list today:

• wash breakfast dishes
• wipe down kitchen sides
• strip the beds
• putting bedding into the wash
• put DH's work shirts into the wash
• make the beds

I need to get a move on. Mum is here at 10 and breakfast is yet to be washed up

I aim to do short lists so that I don't get disheartened

Wise thinking with the short lists afreshstartplease My list is growing as I think of things or see things that need doing.

• wash breakfast dishes
• wipe down kitchen sides
• strip the beds
• putting bedding into the wash
• put DH's work shirts into the wash
• make the beds
• wipe over and bleach DS loo
• wipe over and bleach upstairs loo
• clean hand mark off tv screen

Need to strip beds and get bedding in the wash before Mum gets here or else i'll start to fall behind. Also need to clean upstairs loo before 10.

I didn't make it back on here yesterday...Mum came round then we all went out for a walk and ended up going for a pub lunch then came back home made the beds, and done some tea and then chilled and watched a dvd. Didn't do as much laundry yesterday as I should have though so that's still waiting for me today...

• general tidy up

Apart from that we are having a day at home today so I may end up getting more done.

It was stressful tbh

Too much chocolate in children sent them loopy

Sorry to hear that How old are they? My youngest caused a bit of a scene in the pub yesterday. I blame the chocolate aswell. Youngest is already asking for his chocolate today. He knows where the eggs are kept and keeps going over there bless him but he's not having some till after lunch. His elder sister is better behaved and has accepted no chocolate till the afternoon and is in the garden watching her dad do the weeding.

• mop kitchen floor - Not sure if its worth doing this today. DH is outside in the garden and kids keep going in and out with muddy shoes

Gonna have a cuppa and biscuit and listen to the radio for a bit

I'd love a third, but DH is not so keen lol

However their dad was a waste of space so that will not be happening

Are they all boys, all girls, or a mix?

Just taken first load of washing out and put second load in the machine. Now need to hang up washing outside
