In law family visit imminent - Snot covered sofa

Our sofa covered in snot, milk, spit and other children gunk. Can anyone recommend a gadget that saves me scrubbing at the damn thing for hours? I'm thinking huge electric rotating toothbrush with a water element??? Has this been invented?! Husbands family coming for visit and only other alternative is to go hippy and cover it up with random throws.

Go with the throws, and then tackle it when you've no time constraints.

That does however require me to go and buy some throws! Don't think bed sheets will work. When i say "covered" i do actually mean that pretty much every horizontal surface on the sofa is stained... So much so it looks like a mottled (very grim) pattern. Maybe there is a service or man with a gadget?! Someone must clean their sofas?? (It's taken me 5 years to get to this point though!)

Yes, rug doctor is your friend!

When are they coming? You could go down to a local shop and hire one now if you're quick!

Thanks! That looks like the very gadget i need... Now to find one to hire! I've got till sunday... Or saturday if i want them to be dry i guess!

If you use the sucking motion of the machine over and over on the wet areas you can dry things quicker :)

Make sure you take before and after pics!
