Help! My son has medical issues and often has a catheter and bag attached. 2 nights ago he was messing around in the living room and managed to flip open the tap on the bag and about a pint of wee ended up on the rug.
I blotted this thoroughly with kitchen towel and used some pet accident cleaner that I had in the cupboard from house training my dog. Followed the instructions, the smell was still there - and getting worse!! I have tried sprinkling bicarbonate of soda into the rug and leaving it for a while before hoovering it off but, again, no success.
It is really starting to stink now! It's a long pile, shaggy sort of rug.
Any suggestions? Fear I'm going to have to chuck the rug and find the cash for a new one!
