I am going for the sensible option of having a little party at MIL's. She has already got the house already and got table cloths, hats, etc etc, she loves all this kind of thing.

Cool I did todays mission last night when I swept the floors including moving the furniture and then mopping the floor.

Washing machine/tummble dryer and dishwasher all doing their thing.

Bathroom swished and swipped.

Sink shiny.

woo hoo I am getting back into the swing of it all.

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 31/10/2006 13:50

LOL at that picture!!!
If only I was that slim and glamorous when FLYing....

Right, am absolutely shattered now, feel like I have done a major workout...

Cleaned fireplace, pulled cushions off sofa and thoroughly hoovered, then moved all furniture and hoovered the lounge really really thoroughly.
Then hoovered hall, dining room and kitchen (well, whilst hoover was out...), put hoover away and put all furniture back.

Feel lightheaded and need a breather...
Has anyone ever died from vigorous FLYing???

That's it for the lounge tho... It is as clean as it is going to get!!

BudaBeast · 31/10/2006 13:53

Hmm. Got "caught" on MN I am afraid. How can anyone "FLy" when MN is here??!!!!

Have hung up washing and emptied dishwasher
Shined sink
Have vinegar in one toilet to try shift limescale

Hmmm - that's about it!

And of to DS's school to get him ready for Halloween party and will have to stay and help then take him Trick or Treating (to a local shopping centre). Won't be back before 7.30.

DH will cook hopefully.

batinshoes · 31/10/2006 14:11

Cleared my executive desk (dining table) but thats about it. Ordered a new computer because this one is driving me mad!!! Hopefully the new one is OK, I got it from ebay and I dont know alot about computers! Its massive (this ones only a laptop), so ill have to buy a table or cabinet now aswell! Got my 1s negative feedback on ebay aswell... p*ssed me right off, silly man. Hopefully the comp will stay alive long enough to sort out delivery of the comp! OH, I did declutter abit in the living room

QuootieSpookypie · 31/10/2006 14:41

Bat - take it easy... Pregnant FLYers get special leave As long as everything is nicely ready for baby, your free to relax!

Skribble · 31/10/2006 14:42

I had a crappy day, started bad when I woke up at 9:20 to find the kids still sitting in the living room . DH had been up and made sure they got their breakfast and were dressed but he went to work before they left for school. My alarm did go off but when I saw Dh was up and still in the house I went back to sleep, Bad Mummy!}.

So to make up for it I have spent the rest of the day doing bugger all apart from arguing on here .

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 31/10/2006 14:44

Aargh, just realised both my dc have a friend coming home with them this afternoon, so how long will my lounge stay clean and tidy for??

Place your bets here!!

I reckon 15 minutes max!!!

QuootieSpookypie · 31/10/2006 14:46

Skribble! haha . I woke at 11.30 today , but still felt awful. DH just kept bringing DS in and out to me. Every morning I keep telling myself I should have an early night, but, every night I think - I feel ok now!

Skribble · 31/10/2006 14:48

I love my long lies but kids were half an hour late for school . Must add to DS's training to leave for school when the big had gets to 9 . He is great at getting his own breakfast and is always dressed, I was surprised to find DD was dressed and fed I normally have to push her all morning. Like mother like daughter [.

Flamebat · 31/10/2006 14:54

pmsl - just had an email requesting pictures of any children dressed as FLYlady for Halloween... are people REALLY that scary???????????

QuootieSpookypie · 31/10/2006 15:02

Flame - from FLYlady????

asleep · 31/10/2006 18:28

i cleaned the kids' bedrooms. hoovered, dusted, cleaned windows, new bedsheets... toys and clothes got sorted too. i have a BIG pile of stuff for ebay and charity shop. i don't think those rooms have ever been that clean and tidy so will really try to do a good routine in those rooms from now on!

can't wait for DD to go back to school tomorrow. i have been so stressed this half term!

QuootieSpookypie · 31/10/2006 18:32

ooooh, well done asleep!

tortUREoisechamber · 31/10/2006 19:34

Hi all.
Wow lots of chatting today.
Well done to all for your FLYing!
Mad day with the dc. Back to the dreaded court tomorrow! Had a few low moments today but have to keep going.
So Ive done no FLYing just basics. Lots of mess to tidy before bed.
I'm trying to stretch my new boots! Very slightly too tight round the calf. Don't know if they will stretch but wanted to wear my long skirt and the boots tomorrow. Need a way to loose a few millimetres overnight!

Hi all. I got up with Dc and done breakie and dressed them. Thats it. Mum came and has had looked after them and I have been in bed all day. Sleeping for most of it but still feel like I have not had any sleep. Mum is stopping tonight, I cant get her to go home.

Popped in to say" I hope things work for you tomorrow tortoise" I will be thinking of you!

As for your boots. I have done this in the past. it might work for your boots.
make them damp and then stuff them with as much paper you can. really push the paper in hit it in there if you can. That should help push them out a bit. It worked on my boots.

I going back to bed soon. so I wish you all well and see you soon so to speak.

I wish a could have man flu! I can cope with that

squatchette · 31/10/2006 20:00

Happy Haloween Flybabes!
Just got back from Manchester about an hour ago,hrs of trains and busses to see DD1's consultant for all of 5 mins.Oh well it was a nice day out in the end because after hospital we went into city centre and did lots of lovely shopping.
Got the girls lots of new winter clothes and a talking Peppa Pig for Saskia who had to stay at home with her Dad,no way was i travelling all that way on public transport with both of them.
Did a load of washing this morning and flied the kitchen.Living room a bit of a tip and just had ready meals for tea, call myself a Flybaby?
Oh well i've nothing to do tomorrow so will get lots done then.Girls all dressed up in their Haloween costumes now, bless they look so cute.Just going to chill out tonight and loiter round MN.

tortUREoisechamber · 31/10/2006 20:10

Glad it went ok squatchette and you had a good day.
HN Glad your mum is there to help. Hope you ok soon.

squatchette · 31/10/2006 20:21

Thanks Tort i'll be thinking of you tomorrow hope it goes well for you. That sounds like a good way to stretch the boots i've heard it before or something about damp newspaper stuffed in???
If that fails you could always try a DIY bodywrap just wrap your legs in clingfilm and whack the heating on full blast, you'll look a bit silly and get a giant gas bill but the boots should fit.Hey why not make a night of it and turn your living room into a spa do you have a hosepipe..on second thoughts maybe i'll shut up here.

tortUREoisechamber · 31/10/2006 20:42

Just got a text from xp1 saying thankyou DS2 just been sick.
Im trying to work out why he thinks its my fault as thats the impression the thankyou gives. Poor kid.Hope he is ok. Of course now im worrying one of the others or me will get sick either overnight or tomorrow.Im get really worried if sick is mentioned! Even worse with DD's going to CM and i will be in a court room.
