I bought cutlery and I can't get the price label off fully.
I've used Sticky Stuff Remover. - no joy.
I've also tried nail varnish remover to no avail. Hmm
Any other tip please?

Olive oil or WD40.

Soak it in hot water in the sink for a bit, then the sticker should just peel of like jelly with a little scrub. I can't stand stickers on things.

Spray polish

Flingingmelon · 25/03/2015 22:33

Wd40 is ace for this.

Steam it?

WD40 does not get the paper off, it does clean away the sticky glue though.

A dishwasher will sometimes take off the paper and leave the glue behind. Otherwise you can scrape the paper off. While it is present it protects the glue. Plastic labels peel off more easily.

By chance I was trying to take some labels off yesterday with an aerosol of Sticky Stuff Remover. It was not much good. I turned to WD40 and it worked much better. I don't like the smell of either though, and used WUL to clean off the traces of cleaner.

Try furniture polish- spray it on, leave it for a few mins then scrub with a cloth or duster

Mayonnaise.

Cheap baby wipes got sticky stuff off of my fridge, and also the back of my watch - might be worth a try?

I'd also imagine white spirit, meths or turps could be effective.

Turps substitute - works on virtually everything :)

I find that if you blast the label with a hair dryer for a few seconds, you can remove it without leaving a sticky mess and in one go x
