Super lightweight vacuum cleaner recommendations please!

We bought a cordless Dyson DC59 animal at the weekend and brought it home to find that you have to press the button continuously for the vacuum cleaner to work. I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my right hand and so this is going to be a problem.

Can anyone recommend a very light vacuum cleaner where you dont have to press a button all the time for it to work? Thanks!

Hello!

We've noticed this thread is quite old and some of the product recommendations are a little out of date. After weeks of trawling the Talk boards, talking to parents and researching bestsellers, we put the top lightweight vacuum cleaners on the market through their paces to find the best of the best.

Hope this helps! Flowers

GTech Air Ram is excellent- I have one at home, one at work and one in the caravan. Recommend them all the time to patients who need something lightweight that does the job well

I'll second that. Can't praise it enough.

I have looked it up but cant tell if you have to keep your finger down on a button all the time you are using it?

Arty - I have one, there is an on off switch, so no keeping finger down on the air ram pushable vacuum .
The air ram multi is a hand held and that needs the button holding down.

Thanks. I read online that the one without the push button doesn't have different attachments though.
