HELP! Wax Crayon in tumble dryer

I don't know how, I really don't, but I have managed to tumble dry an entire white load of washing with a navy blue wax crayon. It is all over everything! How do I get it out? Or do I have to throw all the clothes out?

Please please please help, half the school uniform was in it!

Ah - maybe someone helpfully put it in there before you started.

You need to clean the clothes and the tumble dryer drum. Use neat washing up liquid on the marks on the clothes - scrape off any lumps of crayon first - and then wash on a hot wash with something like some vanish oxy action.

In the dryer use WD40 on a cloth to clean the crayon off - check the seal and empty the lint trap too. Then clean the drum out with hot soapy water on a cloth. Then run the dryer with some old cloths, something like an old towel will do, to absorb any residues and get rid of the smell of WD40.

Good luck.

You might be able to get the wax off by using a warm (not hot) iron and some brown paper/absorbent stuff. Wax melt, soaks into paper, leaves the clothing. But that's from candle wax rather than crayon, so I don't know if it will work. :(

This brings back memories, DD2 did this when she was little, if memory serves me right, I left the wax dry and then I crumbled it off this is going back years, DD2 is 28 now
