Stinky cheese and plastic containers

Please help.

I had some stinky cheese (very ripe Brie) in a plastic container with lid firmly on to stop stinking out whole fridge .

Now the cheese has been eaten but the aroma lingers...

I sprayed the container with Dettol and left on the side before putting in the dishwasher. It still had a nasty whiff so I put it in to wash again. I've just pulled it out and it still honks.

Is there anything I can do? Or is it a fruitless task and the container should be binned?

Put a strong solution of bicarb and water in it and just leave it, lid off for a couple of days. Then rinse and leave it to dry.

Thanks fudge, off to try it now.
