Wipe it with anti bac spray and save up for a new one.

Use a very hot bonfire?

No really, antibacterial wipes and spray all the way, and save for a new one ;)

warm soapy water.
bleach/antibac is reserved for when it's needed, i.e. d&v

I personally would replace it whwn funds permit. As you know wood is porous and it will retain all sorts of bacteria.

I once moved into a house that had a stupid sponge toilet seat. It was sponge inside with like a layer of plastic. Well my Dad was notorious for not lifting the seat when peeing, the plastic on it was cracked and he peed on it and it absorbed his pee. I went to use the toilet one day and as I sat down the pressure of weight squeezed the pee out and it squelched allover my legs and back side!!

This wax 10 years ago when I was 18 and living with my parents, fortunately I make own toilet seat decisions now but I still shudder when I think of this.

Wow I've just hijacked your thread with my traumatic toilet memories! Sorry

It's a new one! Purchased to match shelf and basin stand...
