Saw these recently and they sound fab. Are they really? Do they really clean everything with no chemicals at all? Can they possibly clean carpets and ovens??

Any recommendations? Pros and cons etc.?

....and defrost the freezer in no time!!! They are good but they are another domestic appliance to add to all the rest!

I use my MIL's. Have just steam cleaned seats in new car we just bought, have steamed the wallpaper off the walls, have steamed the carpets - fab at getting stains out - steamed wooden floors, cleaned the oven and windows. Tis fab.

It is a Dirt Devil one.

But theoretcially, I'd need a hoover and a steam cleaner and nothing else, no? No scourers, cleaners for this, that and the other, cloths, dusters etc etc?

Can you link them pretty please? Also, do they just suck the gunk straight into a tank or onto a cloth which you wash (that bit confused me)?

My xp2 had a walk paper steamer thingy and that has different bits that you can fix to it. Its in my loft somewhere.

It just loosens the dirt better and then you just wipe it off. Or on carpets, car seats etc you then wash them with a cleaner. The steam just helps with making the dirt come out easier. I know it you do it right and your carpets etc can take the heat, you can kill off all the bugs, cat/dog fleas too

Fantastic, that sounds exactly what I need. Can you come back and post when you've chosen? Also, are they very expensive ?

think ours is an electrolux. it's good but a bit of a fanny on carpets so i mostly use it for the bathroom, wooden floors and in the kitchen. i promise it does clean the oven rather marvellously.
