Carpet cleaner dhampoo

Quick. I've got a carpet cleaner but no cleaning solution. What can I use instead (I don't really want to spend £15 on a bottle of the proper stuff)

Persil small and mighty but not as much as you would caroet shampoo.

You can get bottles of carpet cleaner for 2.99 at home bargains. Works great. I also add loads of my favourite zoflora and it leaves a really fresh smell

I have had the expensive Vax stuff, and something from the pound shop. They both get the carpet clean.

Perhaps a bit of hair shampoo would do if you can't go out.
