I am thinking about starting my spring cleaning, and I'm just wondering if any of you wonderful mumsneters have any good cleaning tips!

My favourite 'tip' is to fill a spray bottle with fabric softener, water and a touch of bicarbonate soda for an airfreshener/fabric spray, I absolutely love the smell, and the bicarb gets rid of any nasty smells (mainly baby sick on my cushions/carpets/curtainsSad)
I spray it on everything!

Does anyone have anymore? Flowers

It must be catching, today I cleaned out all the fitted cupboards in the spare room. As usual I threw loads away. OH helped with the cleaning, but then put all of his (useless crap) back in the cupboards.
My two tips are, 3 large boxes, one for rubbish, one for charity shop and one to go back. Second tip, do it when OH is out.

Do one room at a time, start from the top down and yes to the 3 boxes for clearing clutter. Gather everything you need cleaning wise and move it around with you from room to room.

Good luck!

That granite cleaning thing Lakeland sells really works.

I have used it on the most difficult black granite and can highly recommend.

E cloths for cleaning glass - windows, mirrors, picture glass - all with just hot water and no streaks when you use the special blue cloth to dry the glass.
