would it be any good? found some bargain comfy dining chairs on ebay but I don't like the fabric. would microfibre work or would it be a bit slippy for sitting on, and/or a pain to fit and sew???

any experience?

Why microfibre? Genuine question. What benefit do you think it will have or have you got a job lot you an use for this project?

I have no experience with sewing it as I had my linen cream (I know!) dining chairs all reupholstered with micro fibre. It is great for wipeability! Just swipe with a damp cloth. Looks really smart as well.

I'd say go for it.

Sorry: to answer your question specifically - no slippyness.
