how do you clean DVDs, and with what?

Toddler DS2 keeps taking DVDs out of the player and covering them with grubby or sticky finger marks. When the DVds have an obvious mark, and when you try and play them, it sticks or jumps.

I don't know what to clean them with or how. Or maybe once they're dirty, they're ruined? Sad

Breathe heavily on it and rub on leg of jeans...

Smile. That is my default way, but its not making a difference ...

Those glasses (spectacles) cleaning cloths will do the job.

Just did this last night - small dab of washing up liquid and some warm water, gently rub off marks. Dry with tea towel.

WellTidy · 11/03/2015 13:31

OK. I didn't know that I could rub it. I thought that would erase or damage the DVD Blush

I breathe on them and rub them on my trouser leg (if it's soft fabric) but I have used baby wipes on them for especially grubby marks, then dry them with my trouser leg, when my son has got hold of them sometimes, they still work after. Unless of course there is actually a scratch on them and they end up skipping!

Run under the tap and give them a rub dry with a soft cloth.

They are tougher than you think they are.
