Robot vacuum cleaner for very large room?

I'm debating investing in a robot vacuum cleaner and wondered if anybody could recommend them for a large space? I'm worried that it would not have time to clean the room properly before running out of charge?

I have a large (100 sq m) kitchen/breakfast/family room which I have to hoover at least once every day and takes approximately half an hour each time. I run cake decorating classes from home and would love to be able to hoover less, but it has to be spotless for each class and I have kids and pets so a spotless floor has to be worked hard at!

So I'm wondering if a robot vacuum would be a worthwhile purchase for the business to make, so that I can set it running through the kitchen every night and then just give the place a good manual hoover once or twice a week. I don't have the budget for one of the really top spec models, I'm looking to spend around £250-350.

Does anybody have one in a large space and if so, would they recommend it? We've got tiled floors with a rug if that makes a difference (although ideally I'd like to be able to use it upstairs in the bedrooms etc as well), and I'm looking at either the Roomba 650 or the Neato Signature Pro - anybody have one of those and if so, what are your thoughts?

Any feedback or advise very welcome indeed! Thanks all.

Just bumping for you. My DSister has the Aldi one but her room is tiny.

i have a roomba. i think it would be perfect. ours isn't top spec. we bought it on ebay second hand about 18 months ago. i don't have such a big room but mine can do several rooms on one charge. and to be honest it only takes about half hour to charge too. Ours is overworked - on several times a day as we have a large family with messy toddlers.

i would be very surprised if it didn't do the job.

I have a similar sized kitchen and I leave Roomba and his sister Scooba to deal with it each day whilst we're out at school/work. They do a champion job :-)
