Cashmere cardigan washed - can it be saved?

DH put a wash on while I was away for a couple of nights with work. Unfortunately, the wash included my Boden cashmere cardigan which can be machine washed, but only at 30C and he washed it at 40C. It's shrunk quite a bit. If I wash again and stretch will it recover?? Or is there anything else I can do to save it?

Soak it, then work fabric conditioner into it with your fingers and gently and slowly ease it back to shape. Then rinse very very gently with it flat and dry it flat, if possible pinned out to shape. If that doesn't work, nothing will!

Sorry, SirVix I should have come back to say thank you. I've just tried it and the cardigan does look bigger - it's now drying so fingers crossed it's worked!
