Any advice

Thinking kenwood but it says 180w when others are 800w!

We've had a Bosch one for years, also has a mini chopper attachment. It's excellent.

Mine was about a tenner from Sainsbury's, at least 10 years ago. Its no particular brand, but does everything I need ie blend

What are you prepared to spend? I had a cheapo Braun which served well for about 10 years, mostly blending soups, and the odd bit of hummous. When it died, I got a mid-range one (about £35, Braun again) - it was crap. I made do with that for about a year, then did my homework and invested in a bamix... Great, but seriously pricey.

I have had a cheap basic one fir years... Did the job fine but now died so I am looking to spend upto £100-£150 for a nice powerful one

Will check out that brand, thanks

Ah, well I would always opt for the best make for each, rather than the one that matches. If you want a stand mixer, you want a kenwood. If you want a standalone jug blender, it should be Kitchenaid. As far as I can tell, bamix make the best stick blenders.

Thanks.... Good advice

I got bamix
I hate buying cheap things and needing to replace them (blame my german genes for that). I chose bamix after seing people that owned one for 25y. But if you don't have the aversion of replacing idems, my dad baught a cheap one for 20$ and it lasted him a longish time .

Bamix it is then! N
