That is it really - what in your opinion is the best smelling laundry detergent that also cleans beautifully?

Method Fresh Air is lovely, particularly if it has actually gone out on the line.

Not a fan of the strongly scented ones, tbh.

I go between fairy & comfort pure.

Also 2 capfuls of zoflora make laundry smell really nice and its really cheap too - get it from poundland!

love this thread, somehow my washed clothes never really smell strongly of that lovely fresh, washed smell, while some friends clothes really do and I love that smell!! Any tips for the freshest smelling (ie. not perfurmed/floral but just fresh) smell that is also fairly strong so you can smell it obviously?

sorry was a zombie Blush

I alternate depending on what's on offer at Costco!
Currently using Daz (gets the whites really white) and comfort pure. I do like Persil bio & Bold the lavender one. Thankfully we've all grown out of the sensitive skin so changing doesn't appear to cause any problems.

DD is allergic to strong smelling washing powder/liquid so we use Ecover. We can't use fabric softener - even eco friendly/low in chemicals softener. Her skin always reacts.

Sometimes I buy Method, but I can't wash anything of DD's in it. I really love the smell, so it's a nice treat.

I used to mix my own washing powder and scent with essential oils and for a while anything shop bought had too much of a synthetic smell. I'm still not keen on some of the really strong smelling stuff.

Sorry to bump old thread but just thought this should be addressed. Theres no such thing as the best smelling launddlry detergent. It really depends on your preferences for scents. Of course you should get the proper detergent for yourr machine.

Some are specially formulated for HE machines. Then you have odor elimination which is separate from smell. Also you have to consider price and value. Gains flings has premeasured out small packs that you just throw into your machine.

You should check these recommended "best smelling" detergents: thereviewgurus.com/reviews/best-smelling-laundry-detergent/hope this is useful for everyone.

bigcmaple, we don't have HE machines & detergent in the UK. It's all front loader washers over here, our detergents have been low foaming since the 70's

Where do you put zoflora-in the drawer where the powder goes it where the softener goes??

It has to be method peony blossom. I alternate between that, the eucalyptus sent one and bold.
I alternate them around and love it when I take something out of the wardrobe and it still smells fresh.
People In work always ask what I can wash my clothes in as they always smell nice.
