Washer dryer hearing but not drying?

Hope someone can shed some light on this.

My washer dryer is pretty old but has been very reliable, if not actually all that great at drying things. My last load of towels came out of the dryer hot but wetter than they would have done from the machine. They actually left a puddle on the floor Hmm

I've opened the petrol cap type thing on the front and pulled out and cleaned the cod piece type trap thing, but this hasn't helped.

Do I need an engineer? It's a huge ballache to get the machine out and requires partial dismantling of the kitchen (installed before we moved in, unfortunately).

Any thoughts? TIA

sounds like you have an integrated appliance Sad

if they are wetter than when they finished the spin, there must be water leaking into the drum. Might be an electric valve faulty, esp. if you have hard water or have been mending the pipes. Needs a mender.

If they are not spinning dry, it might be a clogged or jammed pump filter. Which is (should be) an easy DIY fix.

We do - and it's served us well for a long time (although the dryer's not much cop!). I think it must be a leak as it's definitely spinning.

I'm not sure it's worth mending as we could get a standalone dryer for the garage for £50-75 on gumtree which would probably actually dry things.

Thanks for your advice.
