Best carpet stain remover... Help?!

DH Rug Doctored our wool carpet on Saturday. DS had spilled tea which had left a light but noticeable stain, our carpet is cream with flecks through. Anyway the rug doctor has improved the stain but it is still there.

However the bigger problem now, DH moved our sofa around but it was on the carpet as it dried. He did this the last time he rug doctored it, but this time it seems that the stain from the wooden legs of the sofa has come off on the carpet, leaving pale brown square patches on the carpet!

What should we do?! Is there a brand of carpet cleaner I should try, 1001 stains or something, or a home method? I have a stain remover from Lakeland, which has worked in the past but didn't remove the tea this time... Any tips for both stains?

Whatever you do, put plastic bags over the sofa legs with elastic bands keeping them in place until the carpet is completely dry!

Thank you fudge, for some reason I hadn't thought of that! Doh! Done it now.
