DS2 has a nose bleed, obviously swill owed a lot if blood, and has now been sick on the carpet.

Oh joy. How do I get this off?

Cold water and blot don't sxrub.

LuckyLopez · 21/02/2015 10:03

*scrub

Use bicarb to get rid of the vomit smell once you've got rid of the blood and sick.

Thanks- I have had to scrub! There's still a stain - no real vomit as it was on an empty stomach.

Vanish liquid (the pink pour one in a bottle, not spray). Pour it on the stain and it will fizz up white and you just wash it off. Used it a lot when dogs have had bleeding pads etc. and always works with no marks on carpet after.

I've used 1001 stain remover on (quite old, def dried) bloodstains successfully before (and a number of other marks on the carpet - left that flat with fewer stains than it started with!).

My mum used to use vinegar in water when we had a nosebleed. I think it's something to do with the iron in the blood.

I'm sure Kim and Aggie would have a remedy!
